Safe Harbor is where Riven Tides really shows its teeth. There's no easy breadcrumb trail, no big flashing marker, and that's exactly why so many players get tripped up by it. If you've been grinding for gear, mats, or even checking prices around ARC Raiders Coins, this mission is a reminder that none of that matters if you can't read the map and stay alive. The whole job has to be finished in one deployment. That's the part people hate. You can do everything right, grab the item, then get dropped on the way out and lose all your progress. So yeah, this isn't a quest to do casually when you're half-distracted.

Your first stop is Hotel Panorama Azzurro on the west side of the map. Big building, hard to miss, and usually busy for all the wrong reasons. The area can get ugly fast with ARC patrols, especially Shredders, and players like to cut through here too. The safer play is usually coming in from the south. If the route's clear, use the ziplines and get yourself up to the higher floors without wasting time in open space. Once you reach the restaurant section near the top, move into the kitchen area and check the wall carefully. You're looking for the sketch with a bench and a tennis racket. A lot of people spot it, then rush off and forget to interact with it. Don't do that. If you don't take the photo, the next step won't count at all.

After the photo, head south toward the Tennis Court. This is where the quest starts feeling more like actual detective work than a normal loot run. The sketch is your clue, so don't waste time circling every fence and corner. Most of the useful search area is on the western side, sometimes leaning a bit northwest depending on how you approach it. Check around the benches first, then the rough patches of ground near the rocks and fence line. What you want is a small disturbed patch of earth. There's often a shovel nearby, which helps a lot if you're under pressure and scanning quickly. Interact there and you'll dig up the Precision Gimbal. The second that item hits your inventory, the mood changes. You stop exploring. You stop looting. You start thinking about the exit.

Plenty of runs get ruined because players get greedy here. They think, I'm already nearby, might as well hit one more building or check for extra materials. Bad idea. The stretch between the hotel and the courts is active almost all the time. People rotate through for other quests, and stray ARC units can pin you in awful spots if you hesitate. Pick the nearest extraction that isn't obviously exposed and move. Don't force a fight unless you have to. If you hear gunfire ahead, change route early instead of pretending it'll be fine. Safe Harbor isn't difficult because the steps are complicated. It's difficult because it punishes wasted seconds and bad judgment more than bad aim.

If you pull it off, Tian Wen rewards you with a Surge Coil, Heavy Gun Parts, and a Horizontal Grip, which is solid value for one run. More than that, the quest teaches you how Riven Tides wants you to play. Pay attention. Read the environment. Don't expect the game to explain every little thing. That's probably why this mission sticks with people. It feels tense in a way a lot of checklist quests don't. And if you're planning more efficient runs later, or even looking at ways to prep faster through ARC Raiders Coins buy, getting comfortable with quests like this will help a lot when the map stops being forgiving and starts asking for smart decisions under pressure.
